Biography:

The band was formed on May 18, 2005 by band leader Clark. The group, who has undergone a number of significant changes, continually improves and evolves its fast paced, extremely infectious music. Not So Fast is mainly influenced by various international pop-punk artists.

The band also produces gigs every now and then, having their own production, the “Not so Productions”, their main goal is to give amateur bands (like themselves) a chance to showcase their talent and music in front of a live audience and serve as a stepping stone for other upcoming rising bands.

The band enjoys hanging out with friends, and despite favorable success in their local area, (Cainta, Marikina, Pasig-Santolan, Antipolo) they remain humble and friendly and continue to add new acquaintances to their already large circle of friends.

The band weighs approximately a little over a quarter of a ton.

How did you coin your Band’s name? OR What lead your group to name your Band name as it is today?

The name was an idea by the drummer “Yugz”, because the band always came in late on gigs. Though the band has matured and managed to be on gigs on time, the name stuck. The band decided to keep the name since it could also be explained that the name is a form of sarcasm since NSF’s music is very, very far from being not so fast. We could also say that the bands name is factual to its music, NSF is Not so Fast because it is simply very fast.

Describe your music style.

Upbeat, simple and catchy

Who do you think your music talks to (i.e. to what audience, genre)? What message do you want to tell your audience about your music?

Our music talks to people’s hearts

Who are the artists / music icons that influenced your style of music? In what way have these music icons inspired your group?

Not So fast is influenced by Blink 182, The starting line and All Time low. We admire their humor and energy on stage which easily catches the attention of the audience.

Where there any experiences / events in each of your lives that have made an impact in your musical sense of style? (IF THERE ARE NO EVENTS OR EXPERIENCES THAT BAND MEMBERS CAN IDENTIFY,

NO NEED TO ANSWER THIS ITEM)

Music sounds better with coffee

The wailing guitars, the smashing of drums and melodic chants: They all come together in one glorious wall of rhythmic harmony. But sometimes, passion takes a back seat if you need to rest your body and mind. Well, people will know if the band is not playing at a 100%. Now that’s where coffee comes into play. Research has shown that coffee improves mental and physical alertness. It helps keep you awake especially if youуre playing at late hours. Coffee also stimulates your mind, which may help in songwriting. So the next time you and your buds are giving it all for music, be sure to give a little back to your physical and mental health.

After all, a sound mind and a sound body, sounds cool.
