At Home. Your own home can be the best place for creating memories. By asking kids to help make new family traditions, you are also telling them that they are important.
- Time to bring out those bathrobes for an improvised home spa. You can soak your feet in a basin with salt and water and put on nail polish afterwards.
- Make your family room into a cozy mini-theater by spreading blankets and pillows on the floor and putting on a movie that everyone has not seen yet. Make pizza or you can even make pop-corn the old-fashioned way over the stove.
Around the City. Even if you live in a small area, there are places that you wouldn't immediately think of going to; try searching online or asking friends about possible locations you can visit.
- If you have young kids, take them to the zoo. Kids are naturally attracted to animals and are easily engaged by them. You can even assign an animal to for them to spot before entering the zoo to make the trip more exciting.
- Go to the local historical sites. Here, you will not only be educated about the place you visited but you will also appreciate its beauty and its significance to history.
Have a great stay-cation!
